چکیده

Recently, a large amount of circulating fluidized bed boiler ash (CFBA) and desulfurization gypsum (DSG) has been produced, it is essential to develop technology to utilize them. These materials have CaO SO3, which are considered be a stimulant for blast furnace slag (BFS). This study presents an experimental investigation the compressive strength heavy metal ions immobilization properties cement-free comprising CFBA, BFS, DSG. The feasibility manufacturing foamed concrete using these materials was examined, field test conducted. Experimentally, flow, strength, heavy metal ions concentration were evaluated via inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) paste concrete. investigation revealed self-healing hardening ability ash. In addition, increased with increasing replacement rates BFS DSG in CFBA paste, compressive strength 14.6 - 17.2 MPa recorded over 28 days curing. From result obtained, the foam volume 120 L, incorporating aforementioned materials, confirmed. It was also found that after age, 7.9-MPa the foamed attained, elution this foamed concrete also significantly reduced. Therefore, CFBA, BFS, could be used as binder

Properties of Foamed Mortar Prepared with Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag

Foamed mortar with a density of 1300 kg/m³ was prepared. In the initial laboratory trials, water-to-cement (w/c) ratios ranging from 0.54 to 0.64 were tested to determine the optimal value for foamed mortar corresponding to the highest compressive strength without compromising its fresh state properties. With the obtained optimal w/c ratio of 0.56, two types of foamed mortar were prepared, name...

Effect of Blast Furnace Slag Powder and Fly Ash on Durability of Concrete Mixed with Seawater

According to the report of the United Nations, it is said that two-third of world population would be influenced by water shortage before 2050. To use fresh water effectively, the usage of seawater in concrete industry seems imperative. However, the usage of seawater as concrete material is prohibited in almost all the standards or specifications around the world. In this article, the usage of ...

Electric Arc Furnace Slag and Blast Furnace Dust, Use for the Manufacture of Asphalt Concrete for Roads

This paper analyzes how feasible it is to use electric arc furnace slag as coarse aggregate, and blast furnace dust as fine aggregate in the manufacture of hot asphalt concrete for roads. Three mixtures were designed using the Ramcodes methodology, the M1 mixture of control with conventional materials, the M2 mixture replacing 50% and the M3 mixture replacing 100% of the conventional aggregates...
